Checklist 01: Venue @ Muo

Okay, here's the most important part....the venue!

I was really worried...eventho Muo does feels like home to me but i'm not very familiar with the places in Muo...so i did some research on the net (assisted by my fiancee bff, Ezrul, thanks dear!)... :)

Atfirst i found it reeeeeally hard to find a nice hall for wedding in Muo...but after giving it a thought, we decided to widen the options to homestay as well...
So here are some of our findings:

Hall:
1. Dewan Jubli Intan - Not open for public rent anymore, so i have to scrape this one off the list!
2. Dewan Maharani - near the stadium, drawback: the hall doesn't have aircond...but i have wrote the letter to Majlis Perbandaran Muar (just in case i couldn't find any other places)...

Yes. It's for real! Shahimmey are officially engaged!
Here goes the story of majlis merisik turned tunang...hehe...

Alhamdulillah. a simple and sweet majlis just like i wanted...

Mama was not well on that day so i had to make some kerahan tenaga adik adik...hehehe my brother abby helped a lot with the lunch menu: kari ikan salmon, ayam goreng, isi popia...hud was also very helpful buat keje2 rencam...sikit2 hudddd tolong kak iman buat ini itu peel potato la asingkan kulit popia la...hehehe...i love u dear! adik2 lain & papa plak pagi2 dah kemas rumah :) On my part pulak kerja membakar bread pudding and brownies then balut popia...i think ada dalam 100+ kot...around 3.30pm both my mak lang and mak teh family came and take over the kitchen :) so i can go up and get ready...heheh...

alhamdulillah the majlis went very well...

insyaAllah, our ijab qabul will be this coming november...i will post the save the date card once i got the confirm date ok ;) 

next to do is to return this back...lovely ain't it? mama told me to buy some chocolates or cupcakes to put in that cake stand when returning it...

hehehe i still can't believe that i'm actually engaged! it felt so surreal...hehe...i pray that Allah will ease our journey and grant us both with lots of patient....

9 months to go...tick tock tick tock...

Majlis merisik...dub dap dub dap...

The boyfriend's family are coming tomorrow! woot woot!

2 weeks notice and i went frenzy! haha i wish he could have told me earlier, but i can't be mad at him cos this is what i want... :) haha.

and finally! the first step, merisik.

Atfirst he wasn't sure whether it's going to be merisik alone or together with engagement ceremony...fuhhhh! which explained why i went mad...i was afraid i couldn't get everything the hantaran, mini dais etc ready in time if it happens to be engagement ceremony...

But anyway, to make myself feel better, i started looking for my outfit...hahaha...(one thing that i know best, dressing myself) lol...this was what i bought after a very tiring walk frm one shop to another, just what i need, decent and suweet...

Thai silk kurung modern with some embelishment of manik on the neckline together with the veil...total rm310.00 

Next on my mind...dais/room deco and hantaran...huhu planned to reuse my brother's dulang hantaran...7 dulang all together...diy deco for me since i love diy!! speaking of diy...i went to sarah's hse and borrow the net i help her decorate for her wedding...

I felt so happy to talk to sarah...manage to calm myself down...hehe...i feel glad that i help people for their weddings and now that my turn has come many ppl are offering their hands to help me in so many ways! i'm just glad...thank you everyone! i really appreciate it... :) 

*tears*

so now it has already confirmed that this saturday, it will be merisik only...heheh...bf won't be there tmrw he will be attending sales convention at jb...untung la yg di sana bersuka ria, yg disini nervous gile occayyy...

hehe apa2 pun, this evening nak shopping groceries dgn mama :) menu for tomorrow will be bihun goreng, popia and bread pudding! nyummms...and i plan to bake a brownies for the boyfriend's family...heee...will share the photos with u guys later k~~~~

btw, i had lunch with flux yesterday, she has suggested a brilliant idea for me to skype with somebody in the living room to listen to the parents discussion haha! naughty naughty girl....hehe thinking of getting little huddy to be my partner in crime...heheh!
